Academy Director met Federal Minister of Justice Stefanie Hubig

During an in-depth exchange on 22 August 2025 in Berlin at the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection, the discussions focused on the Academy’s work and the continued importance of international criminal law, particularly in light of the challenges currently faced by the International Criminal Court. The conversation also emphasised the need to preserve the memory of the crimes committed under National Socialism and the enduring responsibility this entails – not least for the professional ethos of today’s legal practitioners. In this spirit, the Academy is actively engaged in the training of legal trainees, an initiative that was warmly welcomed by the Minister. (bk)
