On 14 April 2025, Senior Officer Kiran Mohandas Menon participated as a judge at the Children's Rights Moot Court, organised by the Department of Child Law of Leiden University Law School. Mr Menon presided over an elimination round session of the bi-annual Moot Court, which was initiated by Leiden Law School in 2014 on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Moot Court is currently organised under the leadership of Professor Ann Skelton, the former chairperson of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and Professor Ton Liefaard, who holds the UNICEF Chair in Children’s Rights at Leiden University.
