20th Karlsruhe Constitutional Dialogue

Professor Safferling, together with former Federal Minister of Justice Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, discussed the rule of law at the invitation of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation: Lessons from the Past, Responsibilities of the Present. The discussion, moderated by Gigi Deppe, focused in particular on the challenges modern means of communication pose for democracy and the rule of law, as well as the importance of a culture of remembrance for Germany’s social identity.
