On 7 July 2025, Dr Viviane Dittrich, Deputy Director of the Academy, was the invited speaker at the Intercultural Ladies Lunch (IKLL) held at the Literaturhaus in Nuremberg. At the invitation of Barbara Regitz, former member of the Bavarian State Parliament, Dr Dittrich presented the International Nuremberg Principles Academy, outlining its mandate, current focus areas, and the scope and impact of its work over the past ten years. She emphasised the Academy’s international outlook and local presence in Nuremberg, the essential support of its founders, and the dynamic interplay between theory and practice in its work programme. The enduring significance of the Nuremberg Principles now 80 years after the opening of the Nuremberg Trials was also highlighted. Following the presentation, the group engaged in a lively discussion, with numerous questions raised about the current state of international criminal law.
The Intercultural Ladies Lunch has been organised by Barbara Regitz for the past 15 years. At the previous lunch in April 2025, Anja Miller, head of the BR studio in Franconia and former head of the ARD studio in Rome, was the invited speaker. (bk)
