On 22 May 2024, the Consul General of the State of Israel, Talya Lador-Fresher, visited the Nuremberg Academy for a cordial and trusting exchange. The discussion focused on the historical significance of the Nuremberg Trials, the remembrance of the Holocaust and Germany’s culture of memory.
Furthermore, the current challenges in the relationship between Germany and the Israeli government were addressed, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The dialogue was characterised by openness and mutual respect, highlighting the shared responsibility of both nations to keep historical memory alive while approaching present political challenges with prudence.
