It is within the core mandate of the Academy to strengthen both international and national prosecution of international crimes. It follows from Nuremberg Principle I that international crimes must be investigated and tried. Through our work we aim to contribute to fulfilling this promise given at Nuremberg. We achieve this through our annual Nuremberg Moot Court and the Summer Academy, but also by specialised training programmes for lawyers in conflict and post-conflict states.
