On 25 March 2026, Senior Officer Kiran Mohandas Menon participated in a hybrid workshop organised by the Catholic University of America titled “Reflections: What is the continuing legacy of the Nuremberg Principles in a collapsing and transitioning world order?”. Mr Menon joined a panel which was further composed of Rev. Yuriy Shchurko, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology at the Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv, Professor Herbert Reginbogin, Collegiate Fellow of Law, The Catholic University of America and Professor Susanna Fischer, Director, Comparative and International Law Institute, The Catholic University of America.
Mr Menon´s contribution focussed on how the norms, language and frameworks of international law could serve as a legal and moral framework even as they face significant contestation. He further elaborated on how the selective enforcement of the Nuremberg Principles was insidiously weakening the rules-based international order from within.
