On 3 December 2025, the International Bar Association Conference (Conférence Internationale des Barreaux – CIB) awarded the Prix Bâtonnier Mario Stasi 2025 to the French collective “Nos voix pour elles” giving voice to the voiceless. “Nos voix pour elles” is a collective of women presidents and vice-presidents of the Bar across France, with a current focus on supporting Afghan women who have seen their rights infringed on a massive scale by the Taliban regime and on fighting gender apartheid. The award was presented at the 39th annual convention held in Lomé, Togo, with 450 Francophone lawyers coming together from all over the world, also marking the 40th anniversary of the CIB.

The CIB Prix Bâtonnier Stasi is named after former President of the Paris Bar Mario Stasi, founder of the CIB and its first President from 1985 until his passing in 2012. In 2024 when the international human rights award was launched, Dr Dittrich had been invited to join the international jury. It is mainly composed of jurists from various countries and presided by Xavier-Jean Keïta, currently Deputy Secretary General of CIB and former Principal Counsel, Office of Public Counsel for the Defence, International Criminal Court, who gave a speech as president of the award committee. During the award ceremony Michèle Girot-Marc, President of the Bar of Grenoble, as representative of this year’s laureate “Nos voix pour elles” also gave a speech. (vd)
