Training for German Lawyers on Social Work and International Criminal Law

26 March 2026 - 27 March 2026

Bärenschanzstrasse 72, 90429 Nuremberg

Nuremberg Bar Association

On 26 and 27 March 2026, the Nuremberg Academy in cooperation with Rechtsanwaltskammer Nürnberg will hold a training related to the long-term Academy project "Refugees as potential survivors, witnesses and perpetrators of international crimes".

This Course is aimed at lawyers working in legal departments of non-governmental welfare organisations (e.g. Caritas, Diakonie, German Red Cross, AWO, Der Paritätische) or local governmental offices (e.g. German foreigners' offices, migration offices, social services, youth welfare offices) as well as legal advisors and consultants in non-governmental organizations and international organizations.

Through the training, the Nuremberg Academy contributes to widening a network of contact persons for social workers to turn to for advise in cases that involve information on potential international crimes. The need for such training was detected during a workshop for social workers held at the Nuremberg Academy in March 2025.

We are proud to announce that Arne Bardelle, Dr Sven-U. Burkhardt, Jens Dieckmann, Professor Dr Christine Graebsch and Dr Sigrid Mehring-Zier (LL.M.) will contribute as trainers.

Please visit the website of the Rechtsanwaltskammer Nürnberg to find the official programme of the training and the registration. Lawyers who are not members of the Rechtsanwaltskammer Nürnberg may register via email at seminare@~@rak-nbg.de. (gp/aw)
