The International Nuremberg Principles Academy offers an annual intensive summer course for young professionals. Since 2019, in addition to the Anglophone edition of the Nuremberg Summer Academy for Young Professionals, the Academy has also offered a Francophone edition, the Académie d’été de Nuremberg pour jeunes professionnel.le.s.
The Nuremberg Summer Academy is one of the Academy’s flagship programmes. It contributes to the Academy’s mandate to provide tailored training aimed at building capacity and strengthening national institutions involved in the investigation and prosecution of international crimes.
The programme brings together young lawyers, prosecutors, judges, academics and other legal professionals from conflict and post-conflict countries. It aims to develop and deepen participants’ knowledge of the substantive and procedural aspects of international criminal law. Guided by leading international experts and practitioners, participants acquire practical knowledge and skills related to the investigation, prosecution and adjudication of core international crimes.
