On 5 November 2025 Academy Director Prof. Dr Christoph Safferling gave a lecture at the Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut, on the Nuremberg Trials 80 years ago, attended by over 100 participants. Thomas Dodd, one of the prosecutors in the main war crimes trial, was a central focus – with interesting insights and historical connections discussed. Also present were Dr Sonja Kreibich, Consul General in Boston, and Prof. Dr Shareen Hertel. Afterwards, possibilities for future collaboration were explored. The event was organised by Prof. Dr Sebastian Wogenstein. (cs/bk)
