On 20 March 2023, Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling, visited the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg for an extensive exchange of views with its President Mr Lothar Schmitt. They agreed that a continuing exchange could develop possible common approaches and activities. The President of the Higher Regional Court welcomed Professor Dr Safferling's offer to organise a capacity building event for legal trainees. This could be held at the Nuremberg Academy and the Memorial Nuremberg Trials on the topic of National Socialist atrocity crimes, judicial terror and their reappraisal.
At the end of the visit, the President of the Higher Regional Court presented Professor Dr Safferling with a copy of a new publication on the architectural and artistic design of the courthouse at Wilhelmsplatz.
