Matthias Burghardt, the President of the Bayreuth Regional Court, Bernhard Heim, Vice-President of the Court and Dr Bernhard Böxler, Judge at the Court, visited the Nuremberg Academy on 18 January 2024. The purpose of the visit was to discuss a project on the Special Court (Sondergericht) and the People’s Court (Volksgerichtshof) in Bayreuth during the national socialism era. Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling welcomed the group to the premises of the Academy and conversed on the activities of both courts. (pg)
