After a close monitoring of the situation and careful consideration, the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the International Criminal Law Research Unit at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg decided to cancel the oral rounds of the Nuremberg Moot Court that were to be held in Nuremberg, Germany, from 29 July to 1 August 2020.
The rapid spread of the virus globally, and more particularly in Europe, creates an imperative to act cautiously and prioritize the health and well-being of our visitors, staff, and the wider community.
We are conscious that teams have invested time and effort on the written memoranda. As a result, we have decided to maintain the written phase of the competition, which will take place in accordance with Rules 8 and 9.
We encourage all participating teams to continue to work on their memoranda and to stay in the competition.
