Director Professor Dr Safferling at the Kraków Center for International Criminal Justice

The Jagiellonian University Krakow has a new Center: Kraków Center for International Criminal Justice. The Center was founded by the former President of the International Criminal Court, Judge Piotr Hofmanski, who is also a professor at the prestigious university. Director Professor Dr Safferling visited the Center for the first meeting of its advisory council, of which he is a member, on 31 May 2024. On the following day, he participated in the Center’s first conference entitled „Contemporary Challenges of International Criminal Justice“. He took part in a panel on the principle of complementarity. Professor Safferling emphasised Germany’s efforts to prosecute international crimes and looked at the difficult history of Germany with regard to the Nuremberg trials in particular. (cs)
