The International Nuremberg Principles Academy welcomed international fellows and alumni of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung in the historic Palace of Justice in Nuremberg on 17 September 2018. As part of their one-week study visit on human rights in Nuremberg, Deputy Director Dr. Viviane Dittrich gave a presentation in German on the work of the Nuremberg Academy highlighting recent activities in the areas of research, capacity building and human rights education. In a lively exchange, the young students and graduates discussed, inter alia, the Nuremberg legacy, dealing with the past in Germany, the acceptance of international criminal law worldwide, prevention and accountability for hate speech, and current developments at the International Criminal Court.
