The Nuremberg Academy welcomed a delegation from Sri Lanka during their study visit „The role and importance of archives for transitional justice and reconciliation processes - sharing of country experiences“ (organized by OHCHR and swisspeace) in Nuremberg on 18 January 2018. Participants included representatives of the Sri Lankan Department of National Archives, UNDP, the (former) Consultation Task Force on Reconciliation Mechanisms, and the Human Rights Commission. Dr. Viviane Dittrich, Deputy Director of the Nuremberg Academy, presented the work of the Academy and discussed with participants about the Nuremberg legacy, accountability processes and past and contemporary developments in Germany and Sri Lanka.
