Dr Viviane Dittrich attended the 8es Journées de la Justice Pénale Internationale

 

Dr Viviane Dittrich, Deputy Director of the Nuremberg Academy, participated in the 8es Journées de la justice pénale internationale from 2 to 3 February 2023. The topics discussed at the conference included, inter alia, the situation in Ukraine, current developments at the International Criminal Court (ICC) and other topical developments at some hybrid courts and corporate criminal responsibility. Mr Karim Khan, Prosecutor of the ICC, gave opening remarks.

The conference speakers included judges, lawyers, scholars and representatives of international courts and tribunals as well as civil society. The conference organised by the Centre Thucydide and the Centre de recherche sur les droits de l’homme et le droit humanitaire at Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas, were held as an in-person event in Paris and an online conference. Dr Dittrich participated online. The Journées de la justice pénale internationale are held annually, bringing together French-speaking experts to discuss topical questions and recent developments in the field of international criminal law.
