Presentation to Nuremberg City Guides

A group of 27 city tour guides from Nuremberg visited the Nuremberg Academy on 28 January 2019 to learn more about the history, mandate and work of the Academy. Director Klaus Rackwitz gave a presentation on the institution, which is currently located in the so-called Peller- und Imhoff-houses. These are protected historic buildings and frequently figure among the stations of guided city tours.

Klaus Rackwitz also explained the relevance of the Nuremberg Principles for the development of international criminal law as well as for the jurisprudence at national and international tribunals. He particularly highlighted the importance of Nuremberg as the birthplace of modern international criminal law.
