On 12 July 2024, Senior Officers Dr Gurgen Petrossian and Dr Angar Verma, alongside representatives from AWO, Caritas, Johanniter, Diakonie, the Bavarian Red Cross and City of Nuremberg discussed practical challenges at the intersection of refugee law and (international) criminal law. The exchange focused particularly on navigating the legal-political balance between safeguarding confidentiality and pursuing criminal accountability in situations of social support to refugees potentially involved in international crimes.
