Dr. Viviane Dittrich represented the Nuremberg Academy in Beijing

 

Deputy Director Dr. Viviane Dittrich represented the Nuremberg Academy in several academic activities in Beijing, China, from 22 to 29 March. On the occasion of the Chinese national round for the ICC Moot Court Competition 2019, she gave the opening lecture for all participants on 22 March, and acted as a judge in the competition held at the China University of Political Science and Law on 23-24 March.

During her stay in Beijing, Dr. Dittrich was invited by several universities to give lectures for international law students and graduates on the historical significance of the Nuremberg Trials and the Nuremberg Principles. The lectures were held at the China University of Political Science and Law, China Foreign Affairs University, and Peking University. She also acted as commentator at a lecture by Professor Christian Walter (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München) entitled “The Regulatory Nature of International Law”, which was held at Renmin University on 27 March.
