The new Director of the Nuremberg Academy, Professor Dr Christoph Safferling, met with the Lord Mayor of the City of Nuremberg, Mr Marcus König, on 2 March 2023. The City of Nuremberg is one of the Academy’s three founders.
They discussed the importance of the Nuremberg Academy for the city of Nuremberg as well as for the metropolitan region. and emphasised the common interest in the understanding between peoples, the commitment to human rights and the fight against racism and anti-Semitism. These topics are of great importance, especially in remembrance of and dealing with the National Socialist injustice in Nuremberg.
