Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling welcomed the judges responsible for the programme of legal trainees at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg, Ms Silke Weidner, Dr Sina Eichentopf and Dr Michael Müller, to the Academy's premises on 3 April 2023. During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of a special training day for the legal trainees. On 16 May 2023, the new legal trainees at the Higher Regional Court of Nuremberg will first visit the Memorium Nuremberg Trials and then the Nuremberg Academy. Here they will deal with the judicial terror of National Socialism and the incomplete reappraisal of these judicial murders. The Academy is thus contributing to the new section 5a DRiG (German Law on Judges), according to which the training of lawyers should also include dealing with Nazi injustice.
