Feedback to Guiding Principles and Recommendations on Effective Cooperation in the Prosecution of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence

On 10-11 April, the Nuremberg Academy conducted a two-day workshop for representatives from national and international CSOs, judicial mechanisms and academics to explore and consider means of informing and strengthening the form, nature and modes of cooperation between judicial mechanisms and CSOs in the successful investigation and prosecution of conflict-related sexual violence.

The participants reviewed the draft guiding principles and recommendations produced by the Nuremberg Academy by exchanging their professional experiences and best practices in the field of cooperation. Concrete positive examples were given to illustrate these practices and a consensus was developed for the next steps to be taken in the finalization of these guiding principles and recommendations. In-depth discussions and a range of perspectives allowed for tangible feedback to be provided.
