Gender Equality Plan

Statement on the Gender Equality Plan (GEP)

International Nuremberg Principles Academy

1. Declaration

On behalf of the International Nuremberg Principles Academy (Nuremberg Academy), I hereby certify the existence and active implementation of a Gender Equality Plan (GEP), or an equivalent official strategy, in line with the requirements set by the Bundesgleichstellungsgesetz, EU Gender Equality Strategy 2020–2025 Horizon Europe Guidance on Gender Equality Plans (European Commission, 2021), and EIGE GEAR Tool on Gender Equality Plans in Research and Innovation.

This plan is a formal and integral part of our organisational framework and reflects our commitment to promoting gender equality across all levels of our institution.

2. Scope and Accessibility

While the full GEP, including operational details such as budgets and internal measures, is not required to be publicly disclosed, this statement serves to confirm its existence and compliance with applicable requirements.

This document is made publicly accessible via our external website in accordance with transparency obligations.

3. Compliance with Mandatory Requirements

The GEP implemented by the Nuremberg Academy addresses the following key areas:

a.) Dedicated Resources and Expertise

The organisation allocates appropriate resources, including personnel with gender expertise, to ensure the effective design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the GEP.

b.) Data Collection and Monitoring

We systematically collect and analyse sex- and gender-disaggregated data related to personnel. This data supports ongoing monitoring and informs an annual reporting process based on established indicators.

c.) Training and Awareness

We provide regular awareness-raising initiatives and training activities for staff and decision-makers. These activities focus on gender equality, including the identification and mitigation of unconscious gender biases.

4. Data Protection Compliance

All activities related to data collection, monitoring, and reporting under the GEP are carried out in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant national data protection laws.

5. Commitment

The Nuremberg Academy remains committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable working environment and to continuously strengthening its gender equality practices.
