Nuremberg Moot Court 2016

 

The Nuremberg Moot Court 2016 took place from July 28th until July 30th 2016. The competition aimed to encourage university students to become familiar with International Criminal Law by arguing a fictitious case in front of the "International Criminal Court". At the same time, it promoted the fundamental heritage of the Nuremberg Trials: criminal accountability within armed conflicts in keeping with the spirit of Human Rights and governed by the principle of fair trial as enshrined in the ICCPR in particular.

The results of this year's Moot Court are:

1st Place - National University of Singapore - Singapore
2nd Place - University of San Paolo - Brazil

Best Prosecution of Written Memoranda - Maastricht University - Netherlands
Best Defense of Written Memoranda - Jagiellonian University - Poland

Best overall Speaker - Hiew E-Wen Joshua - National University of Singapore
2nd Best overall Speaker  -  Amina Amran Yusuf Mohamed - Strathmore University - Kenya
Best overall Speaker in Semi-Final/Final Round  - Daniel Mendes Bioza - University of San Paolo - Brazil
