International Conference in Nuremberg: Business and Human Rights

 

The Nuremberg Academy co-organises together with the City of Nuremberg and the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg an international conference on the topic "Business and Human Rights Governance Challenges in Times of Complexity and Crisis?" from 24–26 September 2023. After the Nuremberg Human Rights Awards Ceremony and the public Peace Lunch on Sunday 24 September 2023 in the city of Nuremberg, the conference will be opened by Academy Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling in Courtroom 600 in the Palace of Justice. The keynote will be given by Professor Andrew Clapham, the reknowned human rights expert from the Geneva Graduate Institute. The programme starts at 7 pm. The following days consist of several panel discussions in the Heilig-Geist-Saal, in the city centre on Hans-Sachs-Platz 2, Nuremberg. Deputy Director Dr Viviane Dittrich will be moderating panel 6 on Tuesday, 26 September at 2.30 pm on "The other route from Nuremberg to The Hague: Corporate complicity in international crimes".
