The International Nuremberg Principles Academy, in partnership with the United Nations Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da’esh/Isil (UNITAD), hosted an advanced training course on international humanitarian law (IHL) and international criminal law (ICL) for 20 members of the Iraqi judiciary in Nuremberg, from 21 to 25 November 2022.
Building on previous IHL & ICL basic and advanced training courses, this new training course further enhanced the knowledge, practical skills and expertise of the participating judges. International renowned experts in IHL and ICL provided expanded and in-depth knowledge, which is crucial to pursue accountability for international crimes committed by Da’esh/ISIL perpetrators.
