Film Screening and Panel Discussion “Peace Through Justice” in Washington D.C.

 

The International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the US Holocaust Memorial Museum showed the documentary “Peace Through Justice – The Legacy Of Thomas Buergenthal” on Judge Thomas Buergenthal’s life and legacy, followed by a panel discussion, at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, in Washington D.C., USA, on 26 June 2019.

As a Holocaust survivor and jurist, Thomas Buergenthal has been a tireless champion for the principle that governments and individuals must be held accountable under international law for human rights violations. The film shows the extraordinary life of Judge Buergenthal and his influence on global efforts to educate and empower a new generation of advocates to seek justice for victims and survivors and accountability for perpetrators.
