Shuvra Dey

Biography

Shuvra Dey is a human rights expert with a strong background in international criminal law, transitional justice and business and human rights. Prior to joining the International Nuremberg Principles Academy, he worked as a Research Associate under the Chair in Public Law and Public International Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). He also served as the Programme Coordinator of the International Doctorate Programme in Business and Human Rights at FAU.

Before that, he was a Lecturer in Law in Bangladesh, teaching courses on domestic and international law. He has gained professional experience through engagements with several regional and non-governmental organisations, including the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR).

Mr Dey holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Stamford University Bangladesh, an LL.M. in International Law from South Asian University in New Delhi, and a Master’s degree in Human Rights from FAU. He is in the final stage of his Ph.D., pursued within the International Doctorate Programme in Business and Human Rights at FAU.

He is fluent in Bengali and English.
