Biography
Anaïs Heldmaier holds two Master’s degrees, one in Applied International Law and Politics from the University of Sherbrooke, Canada, and one in International Relations from Clermont Auvergne University, France. Building on this academic background, she adopts an interdisciplinary approach to international law that integrates legal and political analysis, with an emphasis on accountability and human rights protection.
She has professional experience in international and European institutions and civil society organisations, notably the International Criminal Court, the European Council on Refugees and Exiles, and Fenix Humanitarian Legal Aid. In these roles, she worked on international criminal law, asylum and migration law, strategic litigation, and contributed to legal research and drafting, policy monitoring, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement in sensitive operational contexts.
She is fluent in French and English.
