Nuremberg Academy and Grotius Centre sign partnership agreement in the presence of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands

In the presence of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, Bernd Borchardt, Founding Director of the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and Professor Carsten Stahn of the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies in The Hague, signed a Memorandum of Understanding initiating cooperation and exploration into potential  collaboration in the areas of international criminal law research and in the ongoing complementarity project. The Memorandum of Understanding will also open the possibility for  joint academic activities, such as courses, conferences, seminars, summer schools, symposia and lectures.

Queen Maxima met with Marjana Papa Head, of Interdisciplinary Research at the Academy who informed Her Majesty of challenges working in conflict areas and post-conflict countries. The King and the Queen then met with the rest of the Nuremberg Academy Staff.
