Meeting with German Ambassador to Poland in Warsaw

In Warsaw, Prof. Dr Christoph Safferling, Director of the Academy, met with the German Ambassador to Poland, Miguel Berger, for an in-depth exchange.

The discussions focused on current political developments in Germany and Poland, and their implications for bilateral relations between the two countries. A key emphasis was placed on the growing importance of academic and research cooperation in addressing contemporary political and societal challenges.

Both sides explored how scientific collaboration can generate meaningful impulses in times of change, and how existing academic and diplomatic networks might be further strengthened and expanded. The dialogue highlighted the value of connecting expertise across institutions and disciplines to broaden perspectives and support informed decision-making.

The meeting underscored the importance of sustained exchange between diplomacy and academia in a European context. Joint initiatives and future collaborations were identified as promising avenues to pool knowledge, deepen mutual understanding and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions.
