Meeting with German Federal Prosecutor General in Karlsruhe

Klaus Rackwitz, Director of the Nuremberg Academy, and Dr. Viviane Dittrich, Deputy Director, met with the Federal Prosecutor General of Germany, Dr. Peter Frank on 15 June. In the meeting with Dr. Frank and Christian Ritscher, the Head of the War Crimes Unit at the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, several topics were discussed, among them capacity building and strengthening national prosecutions, ongoing efforts in Germany to prosecute international crimes and the role of refugees as potential witnesses of international crimes. It was agreed that further dialogue and consultation should be strengthened.
