The Vice President of Nuremberg Local Court visited the Nuremberg Academy

On 27 May 2025, Andreas Leuzinger, Vice President of Nuremberg Local Court, and a few colleagues visited the Nuremberg Academy. Director Professor Dr Christoph Safferling welcomed the group and introduced the work of the Academy. The visitors showed special interest in the capacity strengthening branch of the Academy, namely the trainings for legal professionals on the investigation and prosecution of international crimes. Director Professor Safferling also tackled on some of the most pressing issues in international law, including the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza. In addition, the discussion covered the hostile approach taken by US President Donald J. Trump with respect to the International Criminal Court. (pg)
